About Southwest Signature Homes
We build each and every home as if it were our own, and treat each customer as we would want to be treated
Who we are
Southwest Signature Homes knows that the most important home that we will ever build is yours! We never forget that although we are building a home for you, it has our name on it. This demonstrates an enormous amount of trust on the part of our customers.
When Choosing a Builder
When looking for a home, ask your building what’s standard and what’s an upgrade. If there’s a particular feature that you’d like in your home, ask your builder what costs are involved in upgrading. Carefully compare, item by item, what is being proposed in the homeplan. If there’s a large difference in price between similar homes, find out why.
What materials are being used in the construction?
- Is it 2×4 or 2×6 exterior construction?
- We build using the more energy-efficient 2×6 construction. We can also build a SIP (structural insulated panel) home for even more energy efficiency.
What type of insulation is proposed, and what’s the R-Value?
- Insulation is one of the most important items in a home
- A home that has the minimum insulation in exterior walls and in ceilings will cost the homeowner thousands of dollars in the long run
- If your builder chooses to use only the minimum requirements in insulating your home, what else are they willing to cut corners on?
- Our homes have a minimum R-21 in exterior walls and R-38 in the ceiling of heated areas
Does the builder use insulated windows, and if so, what kind?
- Windows are an important part of insulating a home
- Quality Low E windows should come standard in a home, not as an option
- Southwest Signature Homes uses Dual Pane Low E windows
With today’s high energy costs, a properly insulated home will save its owner thousands of dollars a year. Existing and new homes account for 40% of all energy usage in the United States. Southwest Signature Homes is dedicated to building energy-efficient homes. We are Energy Star Partners with the EPA. When choosing a floor plan, ask your builder if you’re able to make alterations to suit your tastes and needs. Building a new home should reflect the tastes and desires of the homeowner, not the builder. Southwest Signature Homes gives you the ability to alter floorplans to suit your needs.

What People Say About Us
My name is Diana, and my husband Sean and I, as of November 2008, are PROUD homeowners. The use of the word “PROUD”, largely in part, because of our choice to use Southwest Signature Homes to build our home.
The materials used were of quality, the construction itself was excellent and finished on time for a reasonable price. I have also found that they do not forget your name when the keys are turned over.
When we decided to build a home in Las Cruces, we spoke with a number of builders. Southwest Signature Homes went “above and beyond” everyone else in making our home everything we wanted it to be.
